Forza 2 Killing Xbox 360s?

For all of you would be racers out there who was looking to purchase or already purchased 'Forza 2', you might want to hit the brakes.

Reports are that the game is crashing the Xbox 360s that are playing them, turning them into instant bricks. Many users are claiming that the game gives the Xbox the dreaded 'Red Ring of Death'.

Not good!

We suggest that you hang up your steering wheel until Microsoft or Turn 10 (the makers of the game) addresses this issue. Hopefully this is just a glitch that is easily fixed, if the game is really the cause.

Stupid Racists Using Forza 2

There always seems to be a few idiots that try to ruin a good thing.

Case in point the morons who are using Forza 2 to create racist decals for the vehicles that they race on Xbox Live. Here's the thing, if you want to trick out your car with racist remarks, then don't bring it on Xbox Live.

On second thought, bring it on Xbox Live so Microsoft can ban your stupid ass!!!

Amazon: Sales For Xbox 360 Way Up

People love things on the cheap!!! The PS3 is benefiting from this theory as their sales have gone up 135% since dropping the price. Now it looks like the Xbox 360 may be getting some of the same cheap love.

Amazon.com is reporting that the Xbox 360 Premium has jumped to #11 in sales in video games. The Elite and Core have also seen a bump in sales as well. The racing game Forza 2 for the 360 has jumped from #94 to #1, obviously benefiting from the surge in sales of the 360.

It's a little early to see what kind of impact the price drop will have on the 360, but signs are pointing to a big hit.

Hopefully Forza 2 isn't becoming more popular for other reasons.

Xbox 360 Bundle Packs?

If you plan on waiting till the holidays before picking up an Xbox 360, Microsoft is trying to make it worth your while. Rumor has it that there will be bundle packs released for the holiday season, no doubt to get fence sitters on their side. The Elite supposedly includes Forza 2 and Marvel Ultimate Alliance for "free", and the Premium is rumored to also have the same games.

No word on if the "Core" system will have any bundle pact at all.

Xbox 360 To Get Bundled?

Alright, time to fire up the rumor mill again. This time we take the trip to 360 land, where rumor has it that games (Forza 2 and Marvel Ultimate Alliance) will be bundled with the Xbox 360.

The bundle may be available as early as October 9th, which would give some legs to the rumor that Sony WILL be releasing a new $400 PS3 with a 40GB HDD. Microsoft hasn't confirmed this, nor have they stated that there will be any price drops for the 360. But the Core system may be getting a HDMI and wireless controller upgrade, and bundled with XBLA games (Boom Rocket, Pac-man, Uno, Feeding Frenzy, and Luxor2).

So if you've been holding out on picking up a Xbox 360, it just might pay off for you to get one now.

Dell Offering Xbox 360 Elite For $299 (WSL)

If you're looking to pick up a Xbox 360 Elite, you might want to head over to Dell's site. For a while Dell was bundling up their XPS M1730 machines with the Elites, but if you didn't have $3000 you were out of luck.

Not anymore.....

Now Dell is bundling up the Elite all by itself for $299, and throwing in two ugly faceplates, Forza 2 and Marvel Ultimate Alliance. That's a savings of $150, but you better get over there quick while they have them.

Xbox 360 Price Cuts Coming To Japan

Lets face it!!!

The Xbox 360 has been a disaster as far as sales go in Japan. With the Wii dominating the market and the PS3 a distant second, Microsoft is responding with the one thing that works here in the U.S., price cuts. With the price cuts of the PS3, Microsoft is following suit with a 13% price cut starting on November 1. The 20GB model is selling for 39,795 yen ($348) and will drop to 34,800 yen ($304). Microsoft will also drop the price of the core system from 29,800 yen ($261) to 27,800 yen ($243), and will offer a bundle pack for the premium system with Viva Piñata and Forza Motorsport 2 included.

Not sure if this is enough to help the system in Japan, as the Japanese taste in games are somewhat different than the U.S.. I think if they really want to make more of a splash, they should look at the games that are being played in Japan. The Final Fantasies and Zelda games of the world are what seems to be the biggest draw, so maybe Microsoft needs to find their strange Zelda Fantasy XX game.
