Amazon "Customer Votes" Deals Are Amazing

If you're interested in a Wii for $79, you might want to head on over to Amazon.com. They have a 1000 up for grabs at that price, also with a 1000 PS3 for $139, and Xbox 360s for $99. Doesn't sound right does it? Well there is a catch.

You have to vote on the one that you would buy at that price, and then come back on a specific date to see if you can purchase it. If you item doesn't win, Amazon states that it will still be at a low price. At a $139 dollars, I don't think I could pass up the PS3, it's certainly worth that price!!!

There are other gadgets to vote on also, so you might want to go check it out.

Xbox 360 Bundle Packs?

If you plan on waiting till the holidays before picking up an Xbox 360, Microsoft is trying to make it worth your while. Rumor has it that there will be bundle packs released for the holiday season, no doubt to get fence sitters on their side. The Elite supposedly includes Forza 2 and Marvel Ultimate Alliance for "free", and the Premium is rumored to also have the same games.

No word on if the "Core" system will have any bundle pact at all.

Zune 2.0: Just In Time For Christmas

For anyone who still cares, Microsoft will release the Zune 2.0 this holiday season. I thought that they would fix some of the issues that the first one carried, like using the Wi-Fi to connect and download music, but that isn't the case. Read below on some of the likely changes for the new Zune:

There are three predictable paths along which we’ll expand Zune:
  • Device family – adding in new sizes, styles and price points
  • Features – we’ll move towards parity with iPod building in support for video, podcasting, etc and at the same time build on key differentiators such as the wireless feature, the FM tuner, etc
  • Geographic Markets – we’ll start to expand the international footprint of Zune over time but only when we can ensure an offering which is tailored to that market
Wow, that sounds great!

Santa May Not Have A Wii For You

If you were looking to pick up a Wii for your kid (or yourself) for Christmas, you might want to buy it now.

George Harrison, senior VP of marketing of Nintendo of America says that he can't guarantee Nintendo can keep the Wii in the stores during the holiday season. He states that the parts manufacturers can't gauge what the demand will be, and there for may fall short of the demand. With Nintendo introducing a 100 new games this year, it's safe to say that the demand will be high.

So if you're waiting to pick that bad boy up for Christmas, you might want to order it now.

Memorial Day Greetings

The birds are singing, the beer is cold, and the warm weather awaits. We’ll be on a reduced schedule this weekend and Monday while the CBT team takes a few moments to rest and relax before the feeding frenzy that will be the iPhone launch in a few weeks.

Hugs and kisses to you and yours, readers, and have a great weekend.
