AT&T: Talk And Surf At The Same Time Ad
Well...... That didn't take long.
AT&T has already put together their "mines better than yours" answer to Verizon's new commercial, and it actually makes a good point. Again, I can't tell you how many times I needed to be able to talk and pull information at the same time.
Deal breaker!!!

"Yes... I Can Here You Now." Verizon iPhone Ad
In a stunning kick to the balls move on AT&T, Verizon has begun their "mines better than yours" advertising. I knew that this would be coming and I'm looking forward to AT&T's rebuttal commercials.
I do have to say that this ad is very effective.
Is it me, or is the Verizon guy putting on a little weight?
Just saying.

Verizon's First iPhone 4 Commercial Hits The Air
I think this commercial is a little over the top for Verizon, but it is effective. What keeps going through my mind is that it wasn't to long ago Verizon was running "iDon't" ads.
My... How quickly times have changed.

Verizon Gets iPhone 4 February 10th!!!

It's here!!!
After many years of rumors and speculations, Verizon has announced that the iPhone 4 will be released on February 10th. Existing Verizon customers can pre-order the iPhone starting February 3rd. So what will be the biggest difference between the two carriers? Well outside of the better signal reception, Verizon will offer the unlimited data plan for $30, which is something that AT&T removed from their line up. Verizon will also allow up to 5 device connections to their iPhone 4 as a Wi-Fi hotspot, which is not available (outside of jailbraking) for the AT&T version.
The one killer problem for the Verizon iPhone 4 is the CDMA network. Although it has great coverage and reception, the network can only handle one data or voice stream at a time. Which means if you are surfing the net or downloading and you receive a call, the call takes precedence and will drop the data. I'm sure the next generation LTE iPhone will correct that issue, but as of now that is a deal breaker for me. I can't not count the times that I've been on a call and had to pull up important data for the person that I was talking to.
This is still a great day for many people who have always wanted an iPhone but couldn't switch to AT&T. Just keep in mind that Apple will announce a new iPhone in June as they always do, but this time it will be for both AT&T and Verizon.
Happy day, people..... Happy day.

Motorola Strikes Back! With NY Times Ad

Well you had to know that this was coming, considering that Apple took the fight to Motorola's Droid X.
Motorola's new Droid X ad debut in the NY Times today, and it takes Apple to task. I have to say that in my opinion, it's on point. Check out the shot at Apple below:
"At Motorola, we believe a customer shouldn't have to dress up their phone for it to work properly. That's why the DROID X comes with a dual antenna design. The kind that allows you to hold the phone any way you like to make crystal clear calls without a bulky phone jacket. For us it's just one of those things that comes as a given when you've been making mobile phones for over 30 years."
The statement above is comical but it is also true, as Apple's push for form over functionality has finally caught up with them. It doesn't matter to people how pretty it looks if it doesn't do what it is suppose to do.

Letterman's Top 10 Signs You’ve Purchased A Bad iPhone 4
Wow... This issue for the iPhone 4 has reached new levels, and with every passing day that Apple doesn't address it, it only puts more egg on their face. Never mind the fact the internet is ablaze with complaints about the antenna signal drop, or the bomb that Consumer Reports put on them by not recommending the iPhone 4 which sent their stock plummeting, or even the dig that Microsoft chief operating officer Kevin Turner made when he said "It looks like the iPhone 4 might be their Vista".
No, the real PR issue that Apple is beginning to see is the lampooning that David Letterman and others are giving them.
Although I personally have not experienced this issue, I think Apple needs to get out in front of this ASAP.
Step 1: Admit that there is a problem.... Stop with the Jedi mind tricks of telling people that there is nothing wrong with the antenna. There are tons of video out on the net and Consumer Reports is too rock solid to be questioned. This is most important!!!
Step 2: Give out those bumper rings that you were selling for $30 for free. Although this isn't a true fix, it will at least show good faith with your customers.
Step 3: Give out a free $10 credit to iTunes for the headache of it all.
You need to make this right Apple....
And Soon!!!

iPhone Promo Video Parody Makes Me Giggle
With all the hype that is going on with the launch of the iPhone 4, I thought this would be something that could take the edge off. If you've seen the original iPhone video promo, you will get a kick out of this.
It's got a little language, so you may want to not play it at work. Or you just might want to turn the sound down a little.

iPhone 4 Is Revealed

So the next installment of the Jesus phone has been announced, and it is looking glorious!!!
If you were waiting for a better on board processor..... check!
If you were waiting for a HD resolution screen..... check!
If you were waiting for a high resolution 5 mega-pixel led camera...... check!
If you were waiting for a front facing camera for video chat.... check!
If you were waiting for the iPhone to come to Verizon..... ah well, that didn't work out.
The new iPhone is 4.5 x 2.31 inches, and 0.37 inches thick, and only weighs 4.8 ounces. The battery is 16% bigger than the current 3GS and has the iPad's new A4 processor, which has 128MB DDR SDRAM chips integrated together for a more efficient (better battery life) processor. It also has gyroscope built into it which takes the iPhone 3 to 6-axis motion sensing points. It also comes with 720p resolution screen and now iMovie is available, which integrates very nicely together.
The new iPhone 4 will be available June 24th for $199 for the 16GB and $299 for the 32GB.
