Blackberry Bold UI Video

One thing that I like about Blackberry is that they understand just because you need a mobile device for business, it doesn’t mean that it has to suck. Over the past few years, they’ve worked on the design on their phones (Pearl, Curve, ect.). Now the UI gets a new look and feel with the intro of the Blackberry Bold, and it looks very cool. The only problem is that it’s been delayed until August, clearing a path for the new 3G iphone. Oh well, we can at least look at it.

Check it out.

BlackBerry 9000: iphone Killer?

In what seems to be the next generation of phones, BlackBerry has decided to join the touch screen madness. BoyGeinus has uncovered the BlackBerry 9000, their newest smartphone entry with touch screen. The new BlackBerry will have Wi-Fi, 1GB of on-board memory, an Intel XScale PXA270 processor at 624MHz, which clocks in a little faster than the iphones 620MHz ARM 1173 processor. But this baby comes with two things that the iphone doesn't, GPS and 3G. The screen is 420×380 and there is a possibility of a 3.2 megapixel camera. No telling what's going to happen to our favorite full keyboard that BlackBerry is known for, but you have to give a little to get this kind of hotness in a phone.

With this having sync ability and business applications, this could seriously be the iphone killer that people have talked about.

Of course there's no word on pricing or availability but speculation is Q-1 or Q-2 of 2008

Treo 755p: in the wild

Lets be real: the new Treo 755p is more or less what the 700p should have been. There's not exactly anything wrong with it, just that it's been a year since the 700p came out and all the improvements to the 755p are rather minor.

It's a bit thinner and they've finally lopped off that antenna that most smartphones do not have. They swapped the SD card out for a mini SD card slot, and added a nice soft finish.

But otherwise everything is about the same.
