E3 2009: Final Fantasy News

.

It's a very Final Fantasy E3.

First was the bombshell revelation that Final Fantasy XIV is in the works and will be an MMORPG for both the PlayStation 3 and PC, then some cool new action from Final Fantasy XIII, and now comes word that Final Fantasy VII, regarded by some as the best Final Fantasy RPG, is available right now for download on the PlayStation Network for both the PSP and the PlayStation 3.

Personally, I'm not "into" Final Fantasy. I've really tried to get into this series, as it seems to mean so much to so many people, but the truth is, I'm just not able to enjoy it. It's just not my thing. What about you? Are you into Final Fantasy? Which number is your ultimate favorite?

This is a pretty sweet deal for the Madden 08 pre-order. When you pre-order from Circuit City (only $10 necessary), Reserve your copy of Madden NFL 08 today and get a $25 gift coupon* for FansEdge.com when you receive your game. There is only $25 minimum order, plus Circuit City almost always has the game discounted when its released. I think last year was $10 off. So that's not a bad deal at all. Check out the deetz here.

New PSP Coming In September

Sony announced at their media event a new PSP due out in September.

Sony revamped their PSP portable, and gave it better quality video output signal to televisions, and made it thinner and lighter. How much lighter? How about 33% lighter, 19% slimmer than the previous version. They also are showing off some new colors, like Ice Silver and White. The Ice Silver comes with 1gig memory card and the game 'Daxter', and 'Family Guy Frickin' Sweet Collection' on UMD. The White version is a Star Wars themed unit that comes with 'Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron' but that is not due out until October.
