Star Trek's Lt. Uhura Joins Heroes

Tim Kring the creator of the hit TV show 'Heroes' must seriously love Star Trek. Not only did he cast George "Sulu" Takei to portray Hiro's father during Season 1, now he's cast Nichelle “Lt. Uhura” Nichols for the upcoming season 2.

Nichols will play Nana, the New Orleans-based grandmother of Monica (who is a new hero this year). Word has it that she will be a main character, but on this show, that doesn't mean you'll be on it very long.

New season begins September 24th, and I can't recommend this show any higher than I have.

Heroes Video Game Announced

Ubisoft announced that plans are in the works for a 'Heroes' video game based on the hit TV show. The game will be third person, and will not just focus on one hero, but on the entire cast.

From Hollywood Reporter: "Instead of highlighting a specific character's heroic journey, the game will focus on the entire ensemble cast. The game also is expected to play a crucial role in how the show's writers explore cross-platform storytelling for future seasons."

If the game is anywhere near the show, this will be a definite buy for me.

The return of Heroes

One of the best new shows returns back to the air on Monday 4/23. And considering how lackluster this season of '24' has been, it is a welcomed return. Heroes has become a big hit, with some of the best writing of any show that I've seen. The plot is not centered around one or two characters, but around as many as 10. The writers have masterfully woven 8 different story lines into 1, that all come together to tell a great comic book style tale.

I don't want to give too much away, but if you're interested in seeing all the episodes from the beginning; check it out here.

This show has my highest recommendation.
