$ims 3 for the iPhone $creens

EA Mobile have released some new screens from the upcoming SIMS3 for iPhone. The game was shown in detail at the iPhone SDK/OS3.0 event. It looked pretty good, and included micro transaction features of the the new SDK.

If you didn’t see this coming, let’s do the math. iPhone / iPod Touch sales : 37 million and counting.  Sims franchise units sold : 100 million.  App store apps sold/downloaded : 1 billion.  If that is not a money printing press, I don’t know what is.

Analyst Says AT&T Pays Apple $831 Per iphone

Well I guess the real reason of why Apple was so determined to lock down the iphone from hackers. After an analyst with Piper Jaffray examined the financial aspects of the AT&T/Apple deal, it seems that AT&T pays Apple $18 per month for every activated iphone through AT&T. Yes my friends, that breaks down to $831 during that 2-year bend over contract that you have to sign to own one.

I guess that's a pretty good reason why Apple went out of their way to brick iphones that were not in the loop. I guess the $600 bone wasn't enough, Apple has to make sure that you're not cheating them out of the additional 8 bills they feel they've got come'n.

Well if you've hacked your iphone, feel good knowing that you're beating 'the man'!

Microsoft Pays $50 Million for Exclusive GTA IV Content: Wow!!!

Microsoft has thrown down the gauntlet to Sony by giving 'RockStar' the creaters of GTA IV 50 million dollars for exclusive content.

Microsoft emptied its coffers to the tune of $50 million so that 'Rockstar' produces exclusive, downloadable content for the Xbox 360 version of the game. If that’s true, then the 360 version is certainly the one to go for. Sorry, Sony.

The first batch of downloadable content is scheduled for March 2008, followed by a later “fiscal ‘08″ launch for the second batch.

I guess when you're a baller like Microsoft, you can throw this kind of money around on a game.
