Vudu Adds TV Content

When the Vudu was first introduced and talked about right here, I thought it was a promising platform but just wasn't quite there yet. Only having feature films available, wasn't going to make me want to shell out the bucks to pick this up. Well the Vudu has taken another step in the right direction by adding TV content to the menu. Vudu has added 12 TV shows to its content roster, at a price of $1.99.

Here are the TV shows: 24, Arrested Development, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Family Guy, Firefly, Lost in Space, My Name is Earl, NYPD Blue, Prison Break, The Riches, Shark, and The Shield.

If Vudu is able to offer more HD programing for TV and feature films, they could be a major player in the home media market.

New 160GB Apple TV a prelude to HD?

Apple resently started selling a 160gig AppleTV, which is about time!!!

But I'm wondering why the 160gigs? Why would you possibly need this much space in an Apple TV for, other than HD video? Which makes me think that the rumors that have surround AT&T and AppleTV have some basis.

AT&T and Apple are working on adding IPTV capabilities to the Apple TV beginning sometime next year. With the hopes of HDTV coming with the IPTV, Apple may have increase the storage capacity of the AppleTV.

Lets keep out fingers crossed.

Check out the 160gig AppleTV after the jump.
