T-Mobile HTC Shadow: Nice UI

T-Mobile might have a winner on their hands with the new HTC Shadow. The new Shadow doesn't have a touch screen like its brother, but it runs Windows Mobile 6 like no other. Its UI hides the usually drab look of WM6, and gives it a different feel. It's due in the stores on Wednesday, the unit will price for $200 with a voice-plan or $150 with $20-per-month unlimited data plan.

Both come with the 2-year cellular servitude obligation.

HTC Polaris Renamed "Touch Cruise"

Who's ready for the new HTC Polaris phone?

Hell, you might not have even heard of this smartphone, but this little guy has been talked about for a bit, and now is being renamed the Touch Cruise.

And you guest it, it has touch features now.

The phone comes with 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, GPS (I love GPS), Windows Mobile 6, and 3G, it also has built in FM radio (who uses this feature?).

It is expected to be out in November, but no word on pricing yet.

The New 'Tilt' Drops September 25?

My buddy Matt is looking to pick the new HTC or 'Tilt' he's been checking out on-line. Well the guys are Crunchgear have a mole inside good old AT&T, and they state that this phone should drop on or around September 25th. One of the things that I like about this unit is the full QWERTY keypad and 3G capability.

Sprint Mogul: You're gonna pay!!!

Sprint just announced a CDMA/EV-DO version of T-Mobile’s Wing, the HTC Mogul AKA “Da Mogul.” This slide-out smartphone runs Windows Mobile 6 and includes a 512MB memory card, a 2-megapixel camera with flash, and supports full EV-DO Rev. 0 data speeds.

I think that this is a great looking smartphone, but with a price tag of $399.99? That's a pretty hard pill to swallow. Sprints network is pretty good for browsing an all, but come on!!!

Europe to get HTC Touch mid-June/early-July

Unless you live across the pond, this might not mean very much to you. But Europe (lucky bastards) will be getting the HTC this summer. I'm sure they're trying to fully milk the iphone touch screen insanity that is going around right now.

HTC’s partnerships with most of the major networks has scored again, with co-branded and re-cased examples of the HTC Touch coming to three of the European networks in late June/early July. First will be O2 Germany, whose XDA Nova is expected to retail SIM-free at €450 ($599) and with contract for as little as €49 ($65); that’ll be followed shortly by Vodafone Germany, with the HTC/Vodafone Touch and T-Mobile with the MDA Touch.

Although release dates for other European countries are still unknown, I can’t imagine the networks would want to miss out on marketing of this thing.
