OK, this is absolutely amazing. You have to especially admire the part from 5:06 to 5:25, fake guitar or not, that is some sick fingerwork.

Guitar Hero Aerosmith Demos are Live

Check out your XBL and PSN, guys. There's a sweet treat waiting for you there today, and it's the demo for Activision's Guitar Hero: Aerosmith (Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, and PS2). 

Included in the demo pack are the following tracks, plus more:

• Sweet Emotion (Aerosmith)
• Dream On (Aerosmith)
• Walk This Way (Run DMC featuring Aerosmith)

I can't wait to try the Walk This Way with Run DMC.  I still love that song and I still think Raising Hell is one of the best albums of the 80's.

Guitar Hero 3 - Perfect "TTFAF"

Ok. This is absolutely amazing. "Through The Fire And Flames" by Dragonforce is conisdered the hardest song on the game. I have to give the dude his props. And I love the reaction at the end. He is genuinely surprised by the fact that he played it perfect.

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - Activision Inc on Friday unveiled a new "Guitar Hero" video game focusing on the rock band Aerosmith, taking the billion-dollar franchise in a new direction.
Called "Guitar Hero: Aerosmith," the new game will arrive in stores this summer, a surprise to many analysts and fans who had expected the next title to come out closer to the year-end holiday shopping season.
Aerosmith, known for hits such as "Dream On" and "Sweet Emotion," is the top-selling American rock band of all time, with sales of 66.5 million albums in the United States alone.
The game will feature about 30 Aerosmith songs as well as others from various acts that have opened for the band. The price has not yet been set.

New Guitar Hero 3: Axe For The Wii

The first images of the Wii's 'Guitar Hero 3' controller have made it to the net. Activision and RedOctane based it on the Gibson Les Paul shape, similar to the Xbox 360 and the PS3 version. It has a removable face plate and a big spot for the clever Wii remote.

First Look: Guitar Hero 3

IGN gives us a first look at Guitar Hero 3 for the Nintendo Wii, which is slated for release in Q3, 2007

"Guitar Hero fans can thrash and burn with new wireless guitar controllers available for each platform. The exclusive Gibson guitars include innovative features such as removable faceplates that will allow fans to personalize their guitars and make it their own, and a new button color design that is integrated for an even greater authentic feel and rock experience"

Guitar Hero 3 Details Announced

The upcoming Guitar Hero 3 is sure to be another hit in the franchise with all sorts of new features. The latest and greatest will be released on all major platforms with the addition of some downloadable content. A few of the key new features are multi-player battle mode, punishing boss modes and authentic rock venues. You can even go head-to-head with other ‘guitarists’ online.

Instead of the crappy controllers of yesteryear you can rock out with Gibson Les Paul and Kramer guitars that will have interchangeable faceplates and new button colors. The Les Paul will be available for the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii. The Kramer will be an exclusive for the PS2.
