Sony CEO steps down

Man, you could see this coming!!!

It is official that Ken Kutaragi, creator of the PlayStation and CEO of Sony has 'stepped down' from his chairman and CEO posts over Sony Computer Entertainment on June 19th. Kaz Hirai will fill the CEO spot, while Ken will maintain "honorary" status as chairman of the group and will hang around with Sony CEO Howard Stringer, as acting senior technology adviser.

Sony is calling it a 'retirement' from his duties instead of being 'relieved', and we only have their word to go on. But I do find it a bit strange of the timing of the departure considering how well the PS3 is doing, according to Sony.

But I'm sure this has nothing to do with how well (or not) the Playstation 3 is doing!!!
