Olympus' new super cam

Here's the Jack Bauer of the new Olympus compacts: the Stylus 1030SW, drop-proof from 6 feet, waterproof to 33 feet and operates at temperatures as cold as 14 degrees Fahrenheit. With 10.1 megapixels, a 3.6 x optical zoom and a 2.7-inch LCD, and with built-in scene modes for underwater shooting as well as beach and snow modes, it looks like we need a vacation to try it out. Available in March for around $400.

If this camera gets as good reviews as the 720SW, then this should be a must buy for everyone getting a camera. Check out the full specs here.

Shock-Proof Jacket: Ensures Taser To The Nads

Well with all the happy gung-oh law enforcement out there ready to taser your behind for running a stop sign, Gregory Russell Schultz from Arizona empathizes you. So much so that he's created a shock proof jacket, that repels the effects of a taser gun. He has filed a patent for what he calls a "energy weapon protection device", shielding you from the piercing, electrifying barbs.

The jacket has conductive and non-conductive panels that creates a complete electrical circuit, protecting you from the herk and jerk floor dance that taser-guns make you do. Leaving only the officer in shock, and needing to use a more permanent solution to your non-compliance.
