Obama Ads In EA Games

I have to say that I’m seriously impressed/frightened by the ingeniousness of this idea. But as the election fast approaching, the Obama camp is thinking of new ways to reach voters. This Obama ad is within the video game Burnout Paradise, and it’s not the only game that features this promotion. Apparently several games including Madden NFL 09 Need For Speed: Carbon have the ad, but not everyone will see them. The games don’t ship with this advertisement, as you must be connected to Xbox Live to view them. And they are only running in the toss up states such as Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Indiana, Montana, North Carolina, New Mexico, Nevada, Ohio and Wisconsin.

The ad directs gamers to voteforchange.com, an Obama site.

No matter how you may view this, it goes to show you that gamers are not just looked at as little kids with a silly hobby any more.

Vote early…. Vote often. That’s the Chicago Way!!!

Poly Ticks and Micro Chips

You got politics in my technology!
No! YOU put technology in my politics!
* fight *

This article [arstechnica.com] gives an overview of a recent comparison between the McCain technology think tank, and the Obama tech kids.

There's nothing really surprising here, but might be of interest to some readers. You may not be sure what net neutrality, V1-B visas, or retroactive immunity for telecom giants are all about. Then again, perhaps you ought to know?

Complete with white paper linkage goodness. Yum!
