Poly Ticks and Micro Chips

ATI Radeon HD 2900 XT: First 1GB graphics card

I've kinda wondered why this took so long to happen, but finally Diamond Multimedia has just announced the launch of its Radeon HD 2900 XT 1GB.

With many of the high end graphics cards that are out there, this surprises me that the Radeon HD 2900 XT 1GB would be the first to have 1GB of GDDR4 memory. The card carries 512-bit memory interface, integrated CrossFire scalability, and built-in HDMI support. It also includes ATI's Avivo display technology, dual-link DVI output, HDCP compliance, and DirectX 10 support.

No word on price for this monster, but I would wait to see some benchmarks first to see if it will be worth it.
