More Madden '09 video

This looks like its gonna be a fun feature. I almost hope that it has to be a concensus between both players if you can stop it.

Ahh, I can see it now. An extra minute or two of gloating between friends. LOL

3G iphone Has GPS, Other Cool Stuff

Engadget got a tip on from some reliable sources who got a chance to test the second-gen iphone, which is said to be well under the testing phase. Here are some of the bullet points and details that the tester got to see:
  • The first thing people will notice: the 2nd gen iPhone will be about the same size and shape as the first gen.
  • It will, of course, have 3G. And proper GPS!
  • The most noticeable physical difference is back of the phone is no longer metal -- the whole thing is glossy black, from top to bottom. The volume buttons are now chrome.
  • Because it's got a little less metal to deal with, it doesn't have quite as many angular edges. The battery is (still) not removable.
  • The phone itself will be slightly thicker than the first gen device.
  • The headphone jack will no longer be recessed, and will finally be flush with the body.
  • The device itself uses roughly the same size and resolution screen as the first generation product.
  • No solid word on battery life or storage capacity.
The new iphone is set to be announced June 9th, with a release as early as July.

Thanks to Engadget for this info.

The iphone you don't know

I know that everyone is sick of iphone stories and would like for me to talk about something else. But it's the biggest and most anticipated release of technology in a long time, and the launch date is next week, so here we go.

Engadget was able to get some information from one of their reliable sources who has had a chance to play with the iphone. And there is some real good nuggets about the Jesus phone that should interest you if you're going to pick one up.

Using the text feature and how YouTube works is the most interesting points for me, but check out the rest.

Check the bullet points after the jump. [Engadget]

Analyst Says iPhone May Have Learning Curve

10 days is all you have left until you can pick up a sweet, juicy iPhone from your local AT&T shop. But before picking it up, you may want to hear American Technology Research analyst Shaw Wu’s take on the most popular phone ever. Wu says that while the iPhone is a hot ticket and people are sure to buy it, it does have flaws that need to be addressed. The biggest concern is that people will require some time to learn typing with the on-screen keyboard.

Wu isn’t too concerned though. He says people will be able to pick an iPhone up and get used to it rather quickly. Also mentioned in his report is the lack of a changeable battery and push e-mail. While the e-mail experience was pleasing, it’s apparently no Blackberry.

Despite all these issues though, the iPhone should still sell like hotcakes drenched in 14K golden butter. Mmmmmmm.

iPhone details uncovered in Sales Training Workbook

Some of the training manuals have made there way to the net giving us some details of the iphone. Some we already knew, some we didn't. I have to say that I'm a little disappointed that GPS is not built in, oh well, here are some of the good stuff:
  • No one-touch dialing (two touches at a minimum)
  • Vibrate mode is included
  • Voice dialing is not mentioned as a feature, though it's not specifically excluded either
  • Users can have a voice conversation whilst browsing the web "when WiFi access is available"
  • iPhone users will not be able to conduct IM conversations with instant messaging users
  • Emailing videos and pictures are a go, MMS is not supported
  • MEdia Mail won't be used for ringtone and answertone downloads
  • MEdia Net, MobiTV, and Cellular Video are (unsurprisingly) not available for the iPhone
  • iTunes will sync iPhone with the Address Book on Macs or Outlook/Outlook Expess on PCs
  • No GPS or TeleNav support, sorry Google hopeful
Well, I guess we really won't know until it gets here.
Check out the rest here. [Engadget]
