White PS3 to make it to US?

Well its about time that Sony decided to spread the multi-color consoles to our shores. It looks like Sony will release the Ceramic White PS3 in North America, several years after white-colored electronics have gone from fashionable to dated. In Japan, the Ceramic White model comes with a 40GB hard drive and there’s no reason to think this won’t be the case for the North American model. “Consumers” like electronics in different colors, so maybe that’s why the 40GB gets the new paint job instead of the higher end 60GB model.
In any event, there’s no release date just yet. That’s what we get for snooping around the FCC’s Web site.

UPDATE: Sony responds: "As you may know, there are many FCC filings like this each year. We haven't made any announcements about upcoming PS3 plans, but are comfortable with our current two sku strategy. We are continually evaluating the market trends and consumer input to determine the appropriate PS3 models for our territory. "

White PS2: Cheap

You have to hand it to Sony, they have gotten there moneys worth out of the PS2 system. This thing has been revamped once again, and now it's changed its color to white (perhaps to cash in on a little of the Wii's good fortune?). The new white slimline PS2 comes bundled with SingStar Pop and two microphones, and has an asking price of $149.99. The White SingStar Pop PS2 will be available this November.

Not bad.

It might be the thing to buy come Christmas when no Wii's can't be found anywhere. You know that you can't come home empty handed!!!

And at least there are games available for this Playstation!
