'Resident Evil: Extinction' Is Top This Week

Resident Evil: Extinction takes the top spot this week with a $24 million dollar take, not bad for a zombie movie based off a video game. The third installment is loosely based off the video game series, with each of the movies improving (sales wise) with each release.

Resident Evil: Extinction Newest Trailer

The third installment of the Resident Evil movie series is due out in theaters on September 21, 2007. I haven't hated the last two movies, but they certainly could've been better. But what do you expect from a movie idea taken from a video game.

Well Resident Evil: Extinction has released its newest trailer, and it doesn't look bad. Of course I've said that before and been burned once I laid eyes on the film. Here's the plot, courtesy of Mania:

Plot Summary:
Alice (Milla Jovovich), now in hiding in the Nevada desert, once again joins forces with Carlos Olivera (Oded Fehr) and L.J. (Mike Epps), along with new survivors Claire (Ali Larter), K-Mart (Spencer Locke) and Nurse Betty (Ashanti) to try to eliminate the deadly virus that threatens to make every human being undead... and to seek justice. Since being captured by the Umbrella Corporation, Alice has been subjected to biogenic experimentation and becomes genetically altered, with super-human strengths, senses and dexterity. These skills, and more, will be needed if anyone is to remain alive.
