Google Offers On-Line Storage

If you're running low on storage space on you computer, but don't want to pony up any big bucks to get another HHD; check this option out.

Google announced that they're offering additional storage for Gmail, Google Apps, and Picasa services. The sizes very from 6, 25, 100, and all the way up 250 GB, and cost between 20 and 500 dollars a year. I'm sure there are restrictions for what you can use the space for, but it's a nice option to have.

Picasa: For Photo Nuts

One thing that I've learned about being a first time father of a 9 month old son, is that your wife will take more pictures of your kid than Brad and Angelina at an paparazzi convention. This brings up the problem of organizing all of the photos on your computer, and if you have 3 to 4 gigs of pictures, you know that this can be a problem.

If you're a Mac owner, this isn't a problem because a neat little application called iphoto comes with the computer and it can help you with this. But for the rest of the world (including myself) there's another answer to this issue. And it's called Picasa!!!

Picasa is a free application from Google that helps PC owners import, organize, edit, create photo albums, and slide shows. It will help you create screen savers with your photos, add effects with a few simple clicks. You can share your photos with others through email, prints, and on the web.

I've been using it for a while, it's very cool, and possibly the closest that I've seen an application come to iphoto.

Oh, and did I mention it was FREE!!!!

Check it out after the jump. [Picasa]
