OS X Leopard and Darwin. What might it mean?

I apologize in advance for the long post; it is necessary.
I am attempting to give more direct information about what you will likely conclude; is a roadmap for where Apple is taking OS X.

DARWIN is named for Charles Darwin. He was known as the guy who brought us evolution theory.

DARWIN is an open source product that Apple has been creating via "Open Source for years. It's purpose has always been about creating an OS X like experience on non apple computers. There is no refuting this. Check out how long this has been going on here. and I will write down the URL here as well because I want everyone to see that this is APPLE'S puppy; not anyone else. Ok, that being said, the following webpage used to solely explain Apples development of an O.S. named Darwin. It was/and is open source so as not to create to much thunder. You can see it here. Again, notice the URL when this page comes up. It's APPLE'S.

Last year, this Apple website was directly making Darwin as an "experiment" to see if they could provide a "open source" solution to folks who wanted OS X on a P.C.

At this time; unlike last year, it doesn't work so hard to misdirect you to thinking it's just an experiment. In a year, it has become a very blatant instruction guide on how to get OS X to work on a P.C.

Also, consider that there now is purportedly a "Hack" that makes OS X Leopard install just fine on a P.C. (Nelson posted it just a few days ago here) How do you think it was possible that in 2 or 3 days, a person could get Leopard to work on a P.C. ?

I guarantee this person was WELL VERSED in Darwin.

It's hard for me to see how can one conclude that Apple is not intending to eventually market either a straight version of Leopard on a P.C. or completely accurate facsimile called Darwin?

For Pete's sake, the whole O.S. what rebuilt to run on Intel chips! This was one of many steps pointing out the "roadmap" or "Evolution" named DARWIN has created an new species of the OS X Leopard.

Please all, tell me your thoughts.

Personally, I think it's wonderful! Finally some real head to head competition may arise!

Leopard Sells Over 2 Million In 3 days

There's dancing in the streets at Cupertino, as Leopard has sold over 2 million copies in 3 day. These numbers totally blow away their previous OS Tiger's numbers, not to mention Vista. If the hack that has surfaced for the PC turns out to be good, I'm sure those numbers will increase.

Anyone have the numbers for Vista's first 3 days?

Mac OS X less secure than Vista?

Time for the Mac fanboys to wipe the smug look off of your face, and bow down to the OS with less holes. According to prize-winning security researcher Dino Dai Zovi, Microsoft Vista is a more secure OS than Apples OS X 10.4 when it comes to vulnerabilities.

"I have found the code quality, at least in terms of security, to be much better overall in Vista than Mac OS X 10.4. It is obvious from observing affected components in security patches that Microsoft's Security Development Lifecycle (SDL) has resulted in fewer vulnerabilities in newly written code. I hope that more software vendors follow their lead in developing proactive software security development methodologies."

This guy isn't some joke either. He took home $10,000 prize for his MacBook hijack a couple of weeks ago.

ATT to market iphone to Business users

In a stunning move, AT&T is looking to market the iphone to business users. This comes as a surprise to me (and most analysts) because the iphone runs on the Apple operating system OS X. The iphone faces a few shortcomings for business users, including not having a removable battery and not having buttons, which would make it difficult to dial while driving.

Analysis, also thinks the iPhone won't be a good option for enterprise customers because enterprises won't be able to write applications for the phone.

But this won't slow down AT&T and their push to get this into the hands of business users. The iphone will cost between $499.99 and $599.99 depending on the memory size.
