TomTom One Portable GPS Under $200

One thing that I have to say about my father, he wants all the hot gadgets, but he wants them at bargain basement prices. Don't we all right? But he takes it to another level, such as wanting a 50-inch HDTV set for under $800. Oh... and the picture quality better be on par with sets that cost twice as much, or he's not happy.

Well he's wanted a portable GPS system, and it looks like Tom Tom was thinking about him when they made it. TomTom One is a straight forward no frills GPS unit that cost $199. Cnet has a review on it, and here is what they had to say:

"The TomTom One features a sleek design and is simple to use. It offers accurate text- and voice-guided directions and is affordably priced. Offering just the navigation essentials and accurate directions, the TomTom One is an affordable and easy-to-use in-car GPS device for first-time buyers or anyone who wants a no-frills nav system." Oh... and shipping is free!

Ya here that Dad? Now stop the bitch'n and go pick this up.

iRiver Clix (8GB): Hits The Market

iRiver very quietly released their new MP3 player, the 'iRiver Clix' for sale on their website. The 8GB Clix is the second-gen version of their original 2GB and 4GB Clix, but with a different look and a hard shell. At $239, it might be a little to expensive considering the ipod nano is at $199 for the same storage space.

But if you're not a Apple fan, and don't want to fall in with the masses, this might be what you're looking for.

Patriots Caught Using Video Camera To Steal Signals

It looks like The New England Patriots have a problem on their hands, after using technology to gain an unfair advantage last Sunday. After Sunday's 38-14 ass kicking of the New York Jets, league officials confiscated a video camera and tape from an assistant coach of the Patriots. The tape reportedly had the hand signals from the Jets coaches. This is a no no in the league, and could result in serious penalties for the Patriots.

New England has been accused of stealing signals in the past, but no proof had ever surfaced until now. According to ESPN "NFL commissioner Roger Goodell is considering whether to hit the Pats with "severe sanctions".

It is against NFL rules to tape from the sidelines or from the booth.
I guess there may be another reason why the Patriots have had such a good run the last few years.
