Galactica Final Season Delayed Until April

I'm going to certainly file this one under "This is BS" file!!!

If you've been waiting for the fourth and final season of "Battlestar Galactica", you're going to wait a little longer than expected. In what has turned into a full Sorpranos move, the "Battlestar Galactica" last season has been moved back from January until April 2008. Considering that season 3 ended in March of 2007, that is a long wait to find out what happens next.

And there's still no word on if the Sci-Fi network will air the fourth season in its entirety, choosing to spread the series out over 2008-2009.

That is a long time to spread out 20 episodes.

France Gets iphone Unlocked: WTF?

I'm sorry, but I'm about to start on a little rant!!!

If you've had the chance to read this blog, I'm sure you know that France is getting the iphone. But my understanding is that the cellular carrier "Orange" was going to play the part of AT&T for France, and only make the iphone available through them.

Not So!!!

It seems there is a very reasonable law in France that says all cell phones sold must come UNLOCKED. This will allow the customer to deiced which carrier they would like to use. So what's in it for Orange? Well they're going to sell a cheaper version of the iphone which will be locked to their service. So why the hell are we subjected to only one carrier for the iphone? And when users unlock their iphone, why is there great gnashing of teeth at Apple? I guess the citizens of France are just more demanding than the ones here in the U.S. The French government doesn't allow cell phone carriers to push their citizens around, and actually allow users to chose the cell phone, and the carrier to use it on.

What a freak'n concept!!!!

How come we just settle for what ever the carriers and the phone makers dish out to us? Come on people, I think it's time to storm the castle!!!!

iTunes has 99 Cent Surcharge For Ring Tones: Not Cool

One thing that I've always have given Apple credit for was the way iTunes works. No other application works as well with an MP3 player like this one does. So I was excited after the announcement of the upgrade of iTunes with a new feature for ring tones. This new iTunes will allow iphone users to take 30 second snips of any song they own, and make it into a ring tone. Any 30 seconds that you want of any song, which is very cool, right?

Until I found out that Apple is going to charge your ass .99 cents to do this. Now, this is a song that you already own, not downloading from Apple to add as a ring tone. A song that is already in your iTunes that you've paid for once before. I'm sure that the record company is getting some kind of kick back from Apple for this.

But that is a total rip off!!!

So you have to pay to have a song that you already own, cut up to put on your phone?

BS Apple!!! BS!!!
