Ok. All I have to say about this is WOW!!! Now, I used to love Firefox myself, but I kept having too many little problems with add-ins and websites that I frequented. But this is a little overboard in the IE corner. You gave a kid Saturday morning ISS for using a competing browser??? And even if the parents disagree and tell the kid not to go, he gets 3 days In-school suspension?? Really!!! OK...I did get 2 days ISS for calling my Econ teacher a maggot, but I was almost always in trouble my senior year. Now, I wonder what class it was. If it was a computer class, then the teacher needs a serious pimp-slapping. And if you teach a class in which you use the internet, you should know about Firefox, Opera and any others. (I guess we'll excuse the pimp-slapping for them.) I did have to give a chuckle that the Assistant Principal was Charles Smith, the same as my high school principal. Makes you wonder.......

ReplyDeleteAnd these are the people who are teaching our kids? Man, I'm scared by how stupid our teachers and all around education system is. And this is just a symptom of a larger issue.
Why is this countries education system always at the bottom? Because our teachers don't even have an idea that there are other browsers other than IE. What else don't they know about that might be relevant to kids futures?
