Rumor: Apple Tablet In The Works?

The long rumored and anticipated Apple tablet PC is under development with the help of Asus. Asus is one of the contract manufacturers, so this rumor is likely to be more solid than any other. I'm sure that Apple will make use of the touchscreen that seems to be all the rage in Cupertino.

According to CraveUK the tablet will be based off a totally new blueprint, but no details as of yet. And of course there are no details of when this could hit production, but I'm sure Apple fanboys have wet themselves with the thought of fondling it.

I've been a long time user of Asus Motherboards; and their products are usually some of the highest quality products in the computer realm.

Last I heard, Apple was working on a much smaller form factor - like 1.5x the size of an iPhone. That'd be ideal for me - usable screen and still small and ultra-portable - but not small enough for most folks.

Apple is still going forward with the updated version of 'Newton'. I think that's what you're referring to Michael. This is going to be marketed to more of a business use, than lifestyle use.

Ah, so rather than a tablet PC, this is more like a hackberry killer?

*yawn

No, I think the new version of the 'Newton' will be the hackberry killer. But the tablet will be something completely different.
