New Xbox 360 Ring Of Death?

Never say that Microsoft doesn't come up with something new and original, case in point is the new "ring of death" lights on the Falcon-based Xbox 360s. The newer Falcon 360s were created to cut down on such things like..... the "red ring of death". But at least they've given us a new color sequence this time, that reminds me of the upcoming holidays.

Seriously, there isn't any word on if this is a brand new internal error or the "general hardware failure" that we've all come to know and love. I'm sure the guy who this belongs to isn't to happy that he can't fire up Halo 3 right now. But I have to give it to Microsoft, those new lights sure are pretty.

Man, that really is upsetting to me. how can I go forth and buy an XBox-360 if I don't feel confident about the hardware. I don't want to throw money down the drain!

Fred, take solace in knowing that I have never had a problem, and I've owned mine for over 18 months. I also leave mine on for days at a time, and I've never had red rings, overheating or anything. Plus remember, the one's that you'd buy today have the newer cooling system in place.

I know that it doesn't look good Fred, but I've never had any problems with the one that I have. I'm not sure what people are doing to the units, but I'm very happy with my Xbox 360 and would recommend getting one.

I know that the PS3's are not having any issues, but of course there isn't any reason to have it on for any long length of time. So I'm sure overheating isn't an issue with it.

Oh, believe me, I intend to get a Xbox 360.

I'm hoping that any Falcon failures are due to idiots that wrap their 360's in flammable blankets while playing next to the tv inside the fireplace; or something along those lines.
