The numbers are in for Black Friday, and it looks like HD DVD kicked some major ass during the shopping madness. More than 750,000 units were sold during the rush, that includes the Xbox 360 HD DVD player and regular stand alone systems. The impact of cheaper players obviously have changed the landscape of the HD format war. And we are still waiting for Blu-Ray to hit the streets with an affordable stand alone unit. HD DVD have models that are around $200, which are very appealing to consumers, where as the Playstation 3 is the most affordable Blu-Ray player at $400.
