Original Zune Getting Zune 2 Features: Now That's How You Do It!

I think Microsoft might be finally getting it, or at least learning from mistakes that their competitors have made.

With the launch of the new Zune 2, Microsoft introduces a few new features for the player that the original didn't have. Features such as Wi-Fi syncing, new codecs, updated sharing features, podcasts, and Windows Media Center TV on the go. Nothing super ground breaking, but what is cool about this is that all of those new features will be available for the original Zune via software download.

That's right!! Microsoft is rewarding its early adopters by giving them the same features as the new Zune 2. The only difference is that the newer Zune 2 are thinner and have more storage capacity (4GB, 8GB, 30GB or the 80GB which comes with premium headsets). Way to continue to support your old hardware Microsoft, that's the way it should be done. Just how many features have the ipod introduced that could've been given to the older versions via firmware upgrade?

Hello Apple? I think we've found an idea that you can steal from Microsoft.
