It's pretty sweet!!!

Look, I'm not gonna compare my "Desktop replacement" Laptop to this machine; but you can get a machine that does damn well better than good enough for half the price. No, you're not gonna get a contact high, but my PC does the same native resolution, has dual core, has 6 usb, and among other things will last 2-3 hours per battery. If you've got money to waste; I'd pour it into a shuttle before I'd dump it into a notebook over $2300.

I have to agree with Fredzilla on this one. The main problem with desktop replacement laptops is the graphic processing power. Even though they've made great strides, you can build a shuttle or other small form factor pc and still get way more graphic processing power than can be put in a laptop gpu. As it is, I can still upgrade my 1 1/2 year old card (still holding my system back from greatness) and that still has almost better graphics processing than the best laptop gpu's now.

I think both of you bring great points. But you both know that having a great gaming laptop is a lot easier to cart around to LAN parties (do people still have LAN parties?) than even a small shuttle. Mind you still have to bring a monitor, keyboard and mouse.

I was at a LAN party the week before last. We were playing Civ 4 with all the fixins. (expansions)
