Samsung Shows Off F8 Series At IFA

Samsung has unveiled their new F8 series LCD set at the IFA in Berlin. The LE46F86BD is just stone cold sexay, with a variety of features like 1080p support, and 25,000:1 contrast ratio.

That's right!!! Your eyes are not playing with you, 25,000:1 contrast ratio.

It also has 100MHz Motion Plus technology for a sharper picture, USB 2.0 port, 3 HDMI 1.3 ports, 8-millisecond response time, and CCFL backlighting. No word on pricing or availability yet, but we'll be watching and waiting.

Sorry, but they need a new name for these units. F8 just reminds me of Windows safe mode, and there's no way in hell I would buy anything that reminds me of THAT.

LOL!

Credit Tim.

I would have to agree with you about that! There's nothing safe about Windows safe mode.

8 ms refresh time? That's pretty disappointing for a set that's got such a great contrast ratio.

"8 ms refresh time"

Very true!!! Anything moving will appear blurry. Minimum should have been 5 ms.
