24 'The Movie' on hold

The following article takes place between paragraph one and paragraph two. Events take place at the speed that you can read.

According to Executive Producer Evan Katz of 24, the much anticipated movie will be shelved until the series is over. Katz states that the script has already been written but will be on hold until the show comes off the air. This according to Cinema Blend.

This comes as a surprise to me due to the fact that the show is notorious for killing characters off indiscriminantly and changing paths at a moment's notice. Kiefer Sutherland recently signed a 3-year extension on his contract for playing "professional badass" Jack Bauer. Beyond him, there is no telling who else will be in the movie by the time it hits the theater.
