This isn't your average ride at Disney World that is for sure. Construction began today in Beijing China on the worlds tallest Ferris wheel, on what is being called "The Great Wheel of China". This $99 million Ferris wheel will be finished in 2009, and will tower 680 feet over Beijing.
The 'Wheel' will have 48 cars that can accommodate 40 people each, for a total of 1920 fully loaded. No word on the cost to ride this thing, or the time that it will take to fully load it. But the Chinese government is just happy that construction is underway, considering that this was to be completed before the Summer Olympic games next year.
