So Lord Jobs has admitted the error of his ways (or rather Apple TV) and are re-launching Apple TV Take 2. First and foremost Apple dropped the price to $229, and it doesn’t require a computer to download and stream to your TV. You can rent from iTunes right on your set, with rentals for $3.99 and HD rentals at $4.99. Movies will be available in HD Dolby 5.1, and you will be able to do podcasting, photos from Flickr and .Mac directly to the box. And all this is free software upgrade that will be available in 2 weeks.
The cheaper price starts today though, so go get it kids.
