Cow Bell Deals: Samsung BD-P1400 For $269

Well I had posted about this player a few days ago, with Amazon.com dropping the price of this Blu-Ray player to $298. Well it looks like they want to give you an early Christmas gift, by dropping the price of the Samsung BD-P1400 even more. Amazon is now selling the player at $269, which is the best "please buy our player" offer that Blu-Ray has, and it still qualifies for the 5 free movies.

Just be aware that it only has HD profile 1.0, which means that it doesn't have picture in picture support. But it does have 5.1 audio and an Ethernet jack for firmware upgrades. And it has just as many good games for it as the Playstation 3.

Cheap 2-Port HDMI Switch By Belkin

If you were one of the early adopters of HDTV, you've might have run into the same issue that I have, one HDMI port. Well Belkin has myself in mind when they developed a reasonably priced HDMI switch. This beautifully looking switch has 1080p compatibility, HDMI powered, and a IR control that switches the ports. It lists at $49.99, but you might be able to find it cheaper on the streets.

More gadget deals have made their way to the CB, and these look very good!!

If you're familiar with American Express holiday "My WishList" deals, you know that every year they put up some good stuff. Problem though is that demand always out weighs the supply, and the good stuff always sells out fast. The deals go from November 27 to December 13 and you have to go to the site and "try" to purchase certain gadgets on a certain day, and yes, with an American Express card. There are of course limited supplies, so don't hold your breath on these. There are a ton of items, but here are a few that stand out to me:

WishList Price: $700 (Retail Price: $1,999)

Dell XPS M1330 Notebook

A little bit more of information has made its way from the Best Buy "Black Friday" list. This time with the combo Toshiba laptop and printer at a price of $229, which isn't bad for an entry notebook. The specs won't blow your pants off, but it's a good deal for a gift to a student. Check the bullet points:

  • Windows Vista Home Basic, double-layer DVD±RW/CD-RW drive, 15.4" TruBrite widescreen, Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 950, CD/DVD media controls and 5-in-1 bridge media adapter
  • Canon PIXMA MP210 all-in-one photo printer, copier and scanner with ChromaLife100 and dual color gamut technologies
There some other gadgets here, but nothing that's going to 'shock and awe' you.

iphone Referb Price Cuts

So the iphone is now $399, not a bad price, but you still think that's a little to much for a cell phone. Well Cow Bell Tech is here for you. For $299 you can have the 4GB model refurbished, which is like new with Apple. And for $249 you can pick up the 8GB refurbished with all of the same warranties as the new ones.

Of course you have to sign your cellular soul away to AT&T for 2 years, but you will be cool again like you were when you got a RAZR. And you didn't get hosed for $599 or $499 to have a sweet looking gadget.

Check it out!!! [Apple.com]

NBC Universal Pulling Video Content From iTunes

NBC Universal is turning up the heat on iTunes by ending support, which means there will be no more "Heroes," "The Office" or "To Catch a Predator" after December. This is a huge deal to Apple because 40% of their downloads are from NBC Universal.

The problem is due to NBC wanting to raise prices, and Apple wanting to keep things the way they are. Everything stems from greed, and I wonder would NBC rather make no money, than play by Apple's rules? Most likely NBC will sign a short term contract with Apple just to keep leverage for negotiations, and there is still a few months left to come to an agreement.
