High Schooler Gets Detention for Using Firefox

Ok. All I have to say about this is WOW!!! Now, I used to love Firefox myself, but I kept having too many little problems with add-ins and websites that I frequented. But this is a little overboard in the IE corner. You gave a kid Saturday morning ISS for using a competing browser??? And even if the parents disagree and tell the kid not to go, he gets 3 days In-school suspension?? Really!!! OK...I did get 2 days ISS for calling my Econ teacher a maggot, but I was almost always in trouble my senior year. Now, I wonder what class it was. If it was a computer class, then the teacher needs a serious pimp-slapping. And if you teach a class in which you use the internet, you should know about Firefox, Opera and any others. (I guess we'll excuse the pimp-slapping for them.) I did have to give a chuckle that the Assistant Principal was Charles Smith, the same as my high school principal. Makes you wonder.......

FireFox 3 Beta: Oh The Memory Usage

I love FireFox!!!

It is by far the best browser available, at least in my humble opinion. With the extensions that are available for you to install, you can tweak it to do everything that you need.

Of course the guys at Mozilla didn't want to stop there, as they've released FireFox 3 beta, and they've added some pretty cool features and tweaks. But as you know with a beta comes the bugs, and some memory usage has come front and center. Will they have this worked out by release date? I sure hope so. But if you want to check it out, and don't mind a little performance issues, go give it a test run and let us know how it went.

Firefox Reaches 400 Million Downloads

I want to say congratulations and thank you to the company who created my favorite web browser, Firefox. Mozilla has had their free web browser downloaded 400 million times since its launch on November 9th, 2004.

I've tried Internet Explorer, Opera, and even Safari, and none of them has measured up to the love that Firefox has given me. All the free plug in's, the memory tab recovery, the video capture features, yes Firefox, you've made my life easier.

I love you Firefox!!!

Safair 3 beta: Windows ready?

I'm a firefox man, but if you're a Windows user who is interested in trying Safari 3 beta is now available .

Steve Jobs said today that Safari is faster than Internet Explorer and Firefox. Fastest browser on Windows? If that's true, can it compete with Firefox's extension library? I think not, but I also use iTunes on my PC.

I'll believe it when I see it!!!

Back to Firefox I Go

Lately I've been getting MUCHO IE7 crashes. For the most part I used Firefox for the last year no problem; but occasionally I like to shake things up. Well, I'm sick & tired of the IE7 crashes; so BACK TO FIREFOX I GO!!!
