Cannon looks to cut out the middle man with their new Canon DW-100 DVD burner. This baby can take your high-def AVCHD video from your camcorder and transfer them to a DVD, no computer needed. It also can be used as a external DVD burner for your Mac or PC, which is a nice touch. No word on pricing as of yet, but the unit is due out in March 2008.
Not a bad option if you're in the market for an external DVD burner.
