OK, I know all of you haven't gotten an iPhone yet, but I'm curious what apps those of you that have one are using. All I know is that the apps I use most often are MLB at bat (easisest way to keep track of my spiraling downard White Sox), Shazam (I never can recognize songs and groups), and this addictive little BJ Run Lite game. But I've been finding some great ones that I use also. The Myspace, Facebook, Ebay and Wikipedia apps are definitely cool little add ons, and I found a great movies app along with Gas Bag, which is an app that shows gas prices that are in your area all updated by real users in real time. Works great so far, I can't wait for more people to start using it. My only thing is that I wish either the NFL, or some sports organization does the same thing for football that MLB.com at Bat does. Actually, I have a couple more screens of apps, but they are mostly stuff that I've downloaded to try.

Malcolm,
The day I have to rely on my phone to deliver my "real time" football stats is the day I realize I've pimped myself into a VERY unfortunate situation.
My lifestyle DEMANDS if I'm not at a game; I'm in front of a big honking TV.
I can surf the net and get stats on my phone; I don't need to have a job so I can afford an iPhone so I can miss seeing games with friends or family.
(LOL)
Yeah, but are you involved in Fantasy Football? I'm not just talking about just checking stats, I'd like to have an active game display showing the plays just after they happen. Also, since playing fantasy football, I like to keep up with other games when I do get a chance to watch on Sunday, and frequently it is out at a bar or restaurant. That means only one channel, and usually its the local team. So that means that I've only been able to see the Lions, Titans, Chargers, Texans, and Patriots lately since I'm on the road. It's a matter of convenience.
Now Playing is great for getting movie times for any theater in a 5 mile radios. I use Simplify for streaming music from my computer that's not on my iphone while I'm at work. But Shazzam is my favorite... Having the iphone listen to a song and then tell you the artist and the name of the song is very cool.
Yeah, I do fantasy football; but me and my buds all do it via laptop wherever we are. The bars are all wi-fi as our our houses.
I see what you mean though. i was kind of giving you a hard time just to be funny. I'd love to have an iPhone for all the cool apps that can fit in my pocket; and I'm sure it's much better looking on an iPhone than a Sony Ericson whatever model like I have.
Football (and fantasy football) though I don't think I'd want to substitute an iPhone for an actual laptop for fantasy football.
I like the idea of the gas app you mentioned. my Sony does all kinds of music and tv streaming; but knowing me the apps I'd use most would be stupid little ames like "Pimp Warz" or whatever.
Those games crack me up.
I'd also play card games probably.
Yeah, I just don't usually take my laptop out too often (17" laptops aren't as portable as they claim). But one thing I do like are the Game Center java apps that NFL and CBS use to let you know play by play what happened. They don't update well in mobile Safari (you have to keep refreshing). The Gameday on MLB at bat is just like on MLB's website. But I think the NFL decided to give Sprint the exclusive on anything mobile just like they gave EA the exclusive game license.
