It's the world's first internal iPod docking station for cars! Yes, we can't quite believe it hasn't been done already, too. FUSION Electronics is the lucky company with the bragging rights, with the CA-1P500 iPod receiver.
As you can see from the images, the face-plate actually hides the iPod, which is reclining in its little dock, charging and playing your music like the happy little camper it is. You could even leave your iPod in your car, as it will be completely hidden to potential burglars.
The OLED menu interface displays all the functions of your iPod, with the rotary knob/joystick acting as the player's scroll-wheel we've all grown to love. Now, the radio purists haven't been left out of the fun, as FUSION has also thought to add an AM/FM radio tuner!
FUSION has also added SRS Wow Sound Shaping, which adds a bit of pixie dust to your MP3s, and simulates surround sound, just like your average upscaling CD player.
Able to fit the iPod Classic, iPod Touch and iPod Nano (but no love for the iPod Shuffle or iPhone), it will be available from September, for only £149.99.
So far, the only problem I see with getting one of these is the fact that nobody anywhere near me even remotely carries this. Hopefully it'll be available in a major retailer soon.

That's pretty cool.
Of course I own a refurbished Zune. I think that would work with Sync. (is that what it's called?)
unfortunately (correct me if I'm wrong) Sync is only on certain types of cars.
If that's true; then that sucks. I am not buying one car over another because it works seemlessly with a friggen Zune! LOL
I dig the idea, but I'm not leaving my ipod in the dash....
All I need is to have that stolen along with the car. But I want one though!!!
