Alone in the Dark for PS3 not defeated, needs frame rate tweaking

It's been a little too quiet for the liking of PS3 gamers who just so happen to be fans of the upcoming horror survival. Eden Games have finally thrown a lifeline.

The game "is not performing as well on PS3" but it's still "not that far off" said Eden's senior producer Nour Polloni at the London press event.

"There's no firm date yet but what we can say is that it's coming out this year. In terms of why it's coming out later, we have the full game running on PS3 and all the features, no problem," said Polloni, speaking to VideoGamer.com.

"The thing is it's not performing as well on PS3 as we hope it is in terms of frame rate and all that. We didn't want it to come out and have less of an experience for the PS3 gamer. We wanted to tweak that up and make sure they get the best experience on PS3 as much as possible."

There you have it, though the PS3 version of the game is going to be delayed some there won't be any preferential treatment given regarding features or content, the Xbox360 version is the same game so please lay down the pitchfork and torches.

Alone in the Dark is being released on PC, Xbox360, PS2 and Wii this June, with PS3 sometime in the near future.

I don't know about you guys, but it still sounds like everyone is having trouble with making games for the PS3.
