Hybrid Technologies Super Car Can Blow Away A Corvette

I love reading stories like this, especially after I've just spent $4.30 a gallon for regular. The techs at Hybrid Technologies are designing a super car that certainly has my attention, and with a production date of 2009 or 2010, it can be sitting in your driveway soon. Hybrid Technologies is building two models, one is all electric and the other is a hybrid. There are two things that make this car amazing:

1. The electric model will get 150 - 180 per charge and the hybrid will get a jaw dropping 220 mpg minimum.

2. Popular Mechanics asked if this car could compete with the Corvette ZR-1 which puts out over 600 horse power. The answer from Hybrid Technologies that they were "way out of the ballpark—it's gonna be wild."

No word on a name for the car or pricing but I'm sure that it will be insane. But if other companies can build off of this technology, it would go a long way to getting us to the point where this country can give the middle finger to OPEC.

If we can jam 20,000 songs on a device that fits in the palm of your hand, then I have no doubt that this country can develop an ass kicking car that gets fantastic gas mileage.

Go Hybrid Technologies!!!
