KontrolFreek's FPS Freek Controller Makes Fraggin Easy
One of the reasons that I prefer to play FPS on a PC rather than on a console is plain and simple, better control. Nothing beats a mouse and a keyboard for accuracy when fraggin your friends online. A console controller, while not bad, is more difficult to aim and shoot during a heated battle. Check out what IGN had to say about it:
"the first 20% of the range of motion is the hardest because of spring resistance, which makes small tweaks to aiming especially difficult."
But the guys at KontrolFreek have come up with a very good idea that could change my mind about the first person shooter on a console. The FPS Freek is an accessory that snaps over your controller's short stubby thumbsticks which lengthens it, and makes the small tweaks for aiming easier.
The target release date is June 1, but if you pre-order now they will give you a 20% discount on the $9.95 for two and $17.50 for four. If you're a big time FPS on consoles, it might be worth it to give it a chance. And after the butt kick'n that I got in Call of Duty 4, I might have to pick one of these up.
After I get my Xbox 360 back from Microsoft!
