As an unfortunate and disappointed owner of a HD-DVD player, I though I was screwed. But it turns out I'm not so screwed as I thought. I purchased my player from Best Buy. And because of that fact and the fact I am a registered owner through them....they are shipping me a $50 best buy gift card.

I just got a call about them sending me mine also. I wish I had only paid $50 bucks for it though. Regardless, I'll be spending more money at Best Buy though.
How much are middle of the line Blu-Ray players going for now?
I think about $300 is the cheapest I've seen.
They've actually gone back up in price $100 since HD-DVD went out. The PS3 is back to being the cheapest player
