What the hell is going on with the PS3?

They've discontinued the 60GB model. They're discontinuing the 80GB version. They'll only carry the 40GB version that is not backwards compatible (what?) and has only 2 USB ports and has no memory card scanners.

Wow. This is REALLY bad. I was curious as to why there were no 80GB versions at Fry's this weekend.
