Ok folks, There is new news regarding the forthcoming J.J. Abrams Star Trek movie revolving around the original crew, but much younger and in their Starfleet Academy days.
The following report talks about the latest cast member to join the ensemble cast. Let's see if you can find the GLARING ERROR in this story that is totally unacceptable for any Trekkie out there. Oh, and it's not a mistake MSN made; I've seen this reported in several other web sites as well. They better fix this or they are going to lose MAJOR credibility regard one of the most favorite crew members on the Enterprise.
p.s. If no-one points out the GLARING ERROR, I will post it in a day or so. Please give it a shot and leave comments for your guesses. Also, please discuss what effect you think this will have on this installment of the franchise.

Well I don't remember Spock's mom being a shop lifter.
hehehe
Well you're hot that it's about Spock's Mom...
Hint, What race is Spock's Mom?
If Spock is half-Vulcan, and we all know his dad is Vulcan. Hmmmmm. I guess she can't play the vulcan mom.
SHE's a ROMULAN SPY, dammit.
/but they make great ale.
mmmmmmm..... Romulan Ale!!!
I've had Romulan Ale; they actually are a microbrewery. I drank it at The Star Trek Experience in Las Vegas. Quite yummy; but it is the color blue!
And yes, I have read on numerous sites that Winona is playing Spock's Vulcan mother. So Malcolm you win the prize!!!
Spock's mom was HUMAN! As Spock is fond of reminding folks (particularly Dr. Bones McCoy) that he is in fact half human.
I can't believe that they would miss such an important character development issue as Spock being half-human. Further, Spock's mom is a blond, I suppose they can make Winona a blond; but she sure is hell isn't Vulcan.
Come to think of it, I've never seen a blond Vulcan. I wonder (with all the blond jokes out there) if Spock had a hard time overcoming the blond recessive gene? LOL
Seriously though; how do they plan to rectify this? Certainly the VERY VOCAL Trekkie community is dousing J.J. Abrams and Paramount with protests!
MSN had to have screwed that up. I know that she's playing a human. There's no way that they would make such a big mistake.
Well that's the thing; I've seen multiple stories from other sources claiming the same thing.
Also, I saw a story about the Trekkies who are angry about it blasting J.J. Abrams and Paramount about it.
Thus far, I've seen no retraction saying that Spock's mother will be human.
Soooo, It's not just MSN saying this.
Why would he make such a big mistake like that?
Hey, here's an idea. Let's all try and figure out J.J. Abrams e-mail address or a comment area Paramount's web site and ask them:
Spock's mom is Human, not Vulcan!!!
Why would he/they make such a big mistake like that?
