Lockheed Martin Developing Uber Sniper Rifle

This is a little scary!!!

Lockheed Martin has secured a $2 million DARPA contract, to develop a sniper rifle that will use a computer to compensate for wind conditions so snipers can hit targets from longer distance. The prototype is said to be 9 months away, and is rumored to work in even typhoon conditions. It even has a catchy name, the "One Shot System".

It's too bad they don't actually list the number of hit points of damage that it does, and versus which types of targets.

/oh. nevermind.

Man, I'm glad I live in the country that houses Companies with that kind of tech.

Jeez! Why is Iraq such a quagmire?
