Hot on the heals of the HD DVD laptops that are due out this Christmas, Blu-Ray steps into the fray with their laptop ready drive. The Optiarc’s BC-5500A Blu-Ray drive will fit most laptops, and it has the ability to burn 45GB of data on a Blu-Ray disc. It will set you back $335, but you will also be able to burn dual and single layer DVDs and regular CD's.
The unit is due out next week, so save your lunch money if you're a portable Blu-Ray fan.
