You always here about how dangerous the Internet is, and that there is a sicko (not just Michael Moore) lurking in the background. I usually hate these stories because it's usually paints the Internet as a cesspool full of pedophiles waiting to jump on our kids. And it's not!!!
That's why it pains me to post this.
Tamara Broome a 31 year old woman was arrested and charged with kidnapping, after flying from Australia to North Carolina to 'pick up' a 17 year old boy she met while playing 'World of Warcraft'. She claims that the boy 'wanted' to come to Australia, but the parents of the boy (who hacked his email to find out about the woman) say otherwise.
Now the woman is in jail.
The moral of this story? It's a game, not match.com.
