Rumor mill has started up concerning the upcoming Star Trek XI movie. It appears that Zachary Quinto is in final negotiations to play "Spock" in the movie that is set in the academy days of the original series. If you're a fan of the TV series "Heros" you might recognize Quinto as the evil character "Sylar".
Leonard Nimoy is also rumored to make a cameo in the movie but no word if he will play an old "Spock" or an entirely different character.
J.J. Abrams is directing and should hit theaters Christmas 2008.

He looks like he could pull it off. He does well, acting wise, in Heros; and I think with the proper hairstyle and ears, he'd look pretty good as Spock. (Nobody's gonna be 100% perfect)

At this point, Mr. Nimoy would need a profound amount of plastic surgery to look young; and I don't mean normal young, I mean Joan Rivers insane kind of plastic surgery.
