Sony: My Bad!

As if Sony didn't already have enough problems to deal with.

Sony issued an apology to anyone who was offended by the appearance of Manchester Cathedral in Resistance: Fall of Man. The church is used as a back drop for the game, and it upset quite a few people.

“As a result, it is also clear that we have offended some of the congregation by using the cathedral in our science fiction game.

“It was never our intention to offend anyone in the making of this game, and we would like to apologies unreservedly to them for causing that offense, and to all parts of the wider community who we might also have offended.

“Furthermore, we will ensure that Manchester Cathedral is never used as a setting in any future Sony Computer Entertainment video game.”

Not good Sony, not good!

Is this like drawing/making a pictorial representative Mohammed?

I think I see anyone who does either as disrespectful to a group of people. Hopefully everyone who ventures down these kind of "roads" keep in mind they're sensitivities to other peoples preferences to keep in mind if you are going to depict these sensative things. I hate Political Correctness frankly B.S. in more cases but not. At the same time, no-one who depicts something or someone sacred, some research should be done.
