RIAA Picks The Wrong Grandmother To Mess With


The RIAA picket the wrong lady to mess with.

A grandmother was named in a lawsuit by the RIAA, and was asked to pay $4,500 to settle the matter. Ms. Crain who is a Hurricane Rita survivor decided to lawyer up herself and filed a counter suit against the RIAA stating that she never even heard of file sharing until this lawsuit.

But it gets better.

It seems that the RIAA used a number of unlicensed investigation companies to gather information on her case, which is a no no in Texas were the case was filed. Texas law states that investigations companies must be licensed in order to collect evidence that can be used in a court. Ms Crain's lawyer filed more charges against the RIAA for this violation.
