JP Morgan claims that Apple will be releasing a iPod Nano-based phone with "limited capabilities." I want credit for the new name: Baby Jesus Phone.
This sounds like something I'd be interested in. One of the guys I work with has the iPhone, but still relies on his palm, like me, for medical software. So the iPhone's kinda losing its luster with me. My palm plays movies very nicely, and I can put 'em on cheapo SD cards - for free. And I still prefer a smaller phone in my pocket instead of displayed on my hip. And it's much better for cycling. Speaking of which, it'd be so nice to have a bluetooth headset for listening to tunes and then click a button to take a call.
So, Apple, bring it.
I thought that this was just rumor. But I see that it's not. I wonder how they plan on doing it? Will it play movies? What kind of apps will it have? What price point will it be? When is it due out?
ReplyDeleteIf they open the third party stuff on the iphone, this thing could really be great.
The article says 4th quarter. I'd like limited capabilities. No internerd, no movies, no 600 bucks. Just a SMALL, aluminum form factor that has 8G for songs, and can be used as a phone.
ReplyDeleteThere're still rumors for a phone-less iPhone. That'd be nice, too. WiFi internerd and aps.
I might want the Video iPod for work, and the Baby Jesus Phone for play.
