If you were hoping that the Xbox 360 core system would see that $50 price break, don't count on it. It seems that Best Buy and other retail stores will begin phasing the system out, and only keeping the premium and the Elite.
Of course no word from Microsoft about this, but they could be waiting to make an announcement first. Either way, Best Buy plans on not having the core system no matter what Microsoft decides to do. Of course, this is all still considered a rumor.
So if you're looking for a core system but was waiting for the price break, don't wait, go get it now.
